Review: Etude House Color Lips-fit

I'm feeling like a decade late about writing this review since the hype about this product is already disappeared. But anyway, there have been a lot of mixed review about this product, are you curious which side am I on?

I've mentioned this a gazillion times before, I'm a sucker for matte lip product. I was actually wondering whether I should get this or not cause it's not very appealing to me at first. What's appealing to me was the fact that I got this on discount so... Yeah, judge away people lol.

The thing that's not very appealing to me is the color selection. I know it's meant for spring/summer, but it's tad too bright for me, especially since I prefer natural make up more. But I thought to myself, why don't I try something new once in a while? *shrugs*

I actually thought the pattern of the box is hella cute but it kinda makes it hard to read the description O_O But you can still read it, right?

I got this in the color #PK001 Magical Fit Pink and #OR202 Wanna Fit Orange.

I really like the design of the bottle, it's pretty simple but cute at the same time, but not overly girly for my taste. I thought the bottle wasn't transparent but it actually is, and the color shown is the actual color of the product. This comes in a big amount of product too, 10g or 0,35 oz.

This is the applicator and I believe this is just your standard doe foot applicator, maybe a little thinner. While I have no problem with this now, I'm actually afraid this applicator will become wrinkly in the future. From the sample in the store I can see that it's wrinkled and curled to oblivion, it basically didn't have any shape at all. Has anyone ever experienced it? I'm just curious if it's gonna happen to all products or not :/

This is the swatch on my wrist. It's very pigmented, I only swiped it once and it's already that vivid. The texture is watery and it's easier to apply and blend than my Clio Lipnicure since it doesn't dry out as fast. The only problem I have is that the texture can be a little chalky once it dries out on your lips and it's definitely accentuates the dry parts of your lips. But it's an ultimate rule to have your lips nicely prepped before you put on any lip color. Though I don't recommend putting lip balm beforehand since it won't make the color stay put and harder to apply. I also kinda like the smell, it's really sweet and fruity!

Okay so I didn't know what runs through my mind when I bought the Magical Fit Pink. I freakin look like Jynx! Well, it's a bit better when I apply this thinly though. But it's the perfect bubble gum pink color, I end up using it as my blusher though hahaha. On the other hand I really love the orange color, which is more like a bright orangey red. Though it's not suitable for daily use, it's just the perfect summer color! Lasting power is decent, but I like the fact it leaves a subtle tint on your lips and not flakey.

Sooo I give this 2,5 out of 5. It may be my least favorite matte lip products, thus the low rating given.

(+) Pigmented
(+) Fades gracefully
(+) Matte finish
(+) Big amount of product

(-) Chalky
(-) Can be drying

But I'm eager to try their new version of Lock N Summer collection though, it seems that they changed the formula and the color selection is in my favor haha :D Anyway, just to let you know I won't update as often since I'm on vacation, and I'm also going to focus on my final thesis starting now. I'm really sorry but I'll get back to it around September/October. Thanks for reading and following my blog guys! You can always contact me through Twitter/Instagram or just simply comment on my blog, I'll read it and reply it if possible :)
